For San Diego, check out the Wild Animal Park, Sea World and the Zoo.

wild animal park is great we spent a full day there and only seen 80% of it. i was stationed here for 5 years then went to oklahoma and just moved back to san diego since my wife is from here. i would stay in anaheim , to see disneyland and disney adventures which take about a day for each ...i think they have a two day passes for the two parks. (we went to the adventures only) while in anaheim the "nights of the round table" show is there... you pay for the show and you get a free meal while you watch the jousting and sword fighting in the indoor arena.
MEDIEVALTIMES.COM: The Official Medieval Times Website this was a great show tons of the action just like you would imagine it to be. in san diego you have the great zoo, and balboa park... Balboa Park | Park & Recreation seaworld. SeaWorld Home you and your wife could have dinner on the horn blower cruises cheap and you get to see the great view of san diego from the water ( i went at night and it was a good time for us 2) Hornblower Cruises & Events walk the beaches of san diego there are many different styles... longest pieror, the sunset cliffs, at low tide you can sit in the small caves. hit the party strip like san diego's "gas lamp" or pacific beach, mission beach. take a ferry ride to cornado island, check out the hotel del where the movie star marion monroe made a part of a movie. http://www.historichotels.org/hotel/...l_Coronado/529 the USS Midway Museum USS Midway Aircraft Carrier | San Diego Museum | San Diego Tours humm... here is a good site to check. fix the dates for your trip. San Diego Events - Calendar of Upcoming Events in San Diego, CA good luck and keep me posted if you need something. |

Things to see in San Diego:
1. San Diego Zoo 2. Balboa Park 3. La Jolla Cove and La Jolla Cave 4. Hang Gliders at Torrey Pines 5. Lego Land in Carlsbad (just north of San Diego) depending on how old your kids are. 6. Point Loma Light House. 7. Old Town 8. Black's Beach (swim suit optional beach) Maybe not appropiate for wife and kids. 9. Tour the "Star of India" which is an old sailing ship. 10. Tour a Navy ship. 11. Sea Port Villiage As far as L.A. goes, stay out. Do Disney Land quickly and then go to San Diego. Hope that helps. STAY OUT OF MEXICO!!!!! THEY ARE HAVING ALL OUT DRUG WARS IN TIJUANA!!!!!!!!!!! |

In 10 days you can get your family a pretty good sun tan
Knot's Berry Farm is another pretty neat amusement park there in Anaheim not farm from Disney. If you get on 91 freeway in Anaheim definitely don't go west. That will take you down to Compton and Torrance which aren't tourist friendly to say the least, unless of course you want to head down to the Hustler casino. I've got another vote for Legoland down in SD which the kids would like. Several nice beaches all up and down the 5 in San Diego as well. Mission Bay is cool also, if the weather just happens to be bad there is some big shopping malls in that area also. Oh and if you have very young children, don't take them on the "It's a small world after all" ride. For some reason kids are scared to death of that one and I'm still getting my hearing back from the kids screaming when I went about a year ago. LOL
