I feel your pain bud.... i think the best thing you can do is sit down and talk to her once shes all calmed down.... my girl is going through a bad divorce right now... she works with autistic kids (basically a teacher) and makes decent money... me i make pretty good money too... and we both like to spend money on toys (in her case 250 dollar jeans ect.) what she has told me is "i dont care if you spend money on your toys as long as you have money to take me out and treat me like a princess" so our solution is we have our play money which we use to go out to dinners, trips ect. bills money, and anything left that doesnt go into savings is play money.. she has hers and i have mine... so far its working really good this way not sure if that helps... but you should both have a play money allowance... |

let me also add this, we have been talking about this for almost a week now... i dont get upset in front of her. i always talk calmly and such, never get upset. as soon as we start talking about it she flips a lid and starts gettin upset and stops listening. i guess my problem is... not so much as her gettin upset about me wanting to get parts is that i feel that i have given up 100% of my spending and she has only given up say 50%... but i get yelled at for wanting to buy something thats for me. and everything is all hunky dorey when she wants to buy something.... i guess it comes down to the "double standard" that is pissing me off...

I'd get smacked for this so don't tell my wife (or any other woman) It's in a woman's nature to be hypocritical and adhere to double standards, I believe it has to do with a woman trying to flex her power just like a evil dictator. What else would explain that men can only have sex when it is right for the woman, I know that as a man I am ready and willing at just about any time and place but the women control this power and they all know it. Look at it metaphorically, if you want to buy a toy or whatever you get the fifth degree (no we can't have sex, I'm tired!) if your woman wants to buy a $120 purse or $200 jeans to her it's okay (it's time honey!!) This might only make sense to married guys but it's just a little wisdom handed down threw my families male generations
