Brake light question
Alright, I'm new here and BTW. I love my new ford truck even though it's used. I do however have a question. I'm prety mechanically inclined but I'm wondering if any of you have had a similar problem.
My 00 excursion's brake light in the dash just turned on the other day. I've already checked the brake fluid level and the emergency/parking brake and they are both good. Those are the only two things I can remember that will trip the brake light in the dash. Anybody had this problem and it turned out to be something else? The truck brakes fine, it's just that the light is bothering me. |

I know you checked the parking brake, but what happens if you first pull and hold the parking brake release lever and then pull up on the parking brake pedal? Could be the switch is off a bit.
