BBStroker, I know for sure you can run P285/75R16's on stock aluminum wheels. A friend of mine has this size on his 97 F-250 crew cab. I need to look at his tires again and see if they are D rated or E rated tires. I'm fixing to purchase some new tires for my recently aquired 97 F-250 ext. cab. My truck currently has some Cooper highway tread P235/85R16's. Height on these tires is 31.7" and section width is 9.3". A Bridgestone Dueler AT P285/75R16 height is 32.8" and section width is 11.3". So the P285 is about inch larger in diameter and 2 inches wider. |

I'm running 285/75/16 Cooper Discoverer STT's on my 96 stock height factory aluminum wheels. No problems.
