super singles

At the heavy truck dealership I work @ (Freightliner) we are seeing a lot more of the big fleet trucking companies going to super single tires instead of running dualies on the back axle(s). Saving money is pretty important these days for everybody, but the thing that gets me, is how horny these tires look. I didnt snap a pic from work (fleets are cheap, they run steel wheels not polished) but i think these meats would look good on a dualie PSD

I thought they said that most big rigs ran them because of price and fuel economy, being that they could never get dualies wheels to be alined perfectly with each other. Any truth to this?

They run the singles because they way less than the duals so they can haul more payload and with less rotating mass you get better milage.
