Dealer can't recall speedo?

So I upgraded my tires. Went from a stock size of 245/70/17 to a 325/60/18. Not a huge change in size but enough to throw off my speedo by about 6 mph. So I go to the dealership and the service writer said no prob on recalibration. Well, $60 bucks later I get a " the computer accepted the tire size but the truck didn't accept the change" I don't get it. Anyone have a similar experience or know of a different solution?

i work at a ford dealer and can tell you that with fords IDS(scantool) tire size can only be changed to a set list of tire sizes. The IDS will not let you enter in any tire size, so if your tire size wasnt one of the options(probably not because a 325/60/18 doesnt come stock) it couldnt be programmed in. Most handheld tuners will allow you to change to a greater range of tire size.
