Need some help with changing Wheels
I have a 2001 Excursion Limited 4x4 on Old Weld Wheels (17x11) running 37x12.5x17 Pro Comps on a 6" lift.
The Wheels are aluminum and have been horribly pitted. Not wanting to put forth the effort in brining them back to life, I'm wanting to get new Chrome wheels but I'm having some difficulty figuring this out.
The current wheels have a 4.5 backspace and the tread sticks out about 3/4 of an inch from the wheel wells. I like the stance this provides and I was hoping to find some other rims that would allow me to keep this stance.
Most Wheels are 17x9 with -12 offset. I'm not sure where this will leave me in regards to the stance that I'm looking for.
Since I'm stationed overseas, I'm sticking with the tires because it would cost a fortune getting new tires overhear because of weight restrictions.
Any advice or recommendations is greatly appreciated.
