Wheel/tire combo question

Hey guys, I was going to just throw new tires on my stock rims but I don't think I'll get the look that I'm looking for unless I get new rims too. Truck is the truck in sig. I'm almost positive it has a leveling kit, as to what size leveling kit idk (I have 4 leafs up front). I want a nice aggressive stance, but I'm not sure about rubbing. I was thinking 16x9 or 17x9 rims with a negative offset, like -40 but not sure what tire size will work without rubbing. Thinking 285/75R16 (or R17) or 305/70R16 (or R17). What's the best combo to get that aggressive stance? Thanks

Wheel/tire combo question

Also, I'm thinking about getting tires soon (like in a couple days), but haven't really done any shopping around for rims. And want to get tires that I can throw on the new rims once I get them. And I have to get tires soon because one blew out on me and I'm using the spare right now

A -40 offset on a 9 inch wheel is a 3.5" back space. They shouldn't stick out too much. When I ran 285, I used a 10 wheel with a -25 offset. I'm using that same wheel on 35s now. I bought some BFG/AT 315/75-16s and I really like them.

Okay what about a 16x10 wheel with -38 offset and 4" backspace? Running bfg AT 285/75R16?

Wheel/tire combo question

I like how yours sits! I'm getting tires on it now and I'll see how it looks and try to get an idea of what the stance will look like with different rims
I may be getting rims for free because a friend is buying tires from a guy and the rims will come with it and he doesn't want the rims
