What backspacing/offset for rims

I have a 2005 Excursion (front leaf springs) I am looking at 20"x9" wheels. I will be running a 35x12.50x20 tire.

What back spacing/offset should I get? I don't want the wheels/tires sticking way out. I also don't want the front to rub while turning.

#1. 20x9, 5 1/2 backspacing, 13mm offset

Or

#2. 20x9, 4 1/2 backspacing, -13mm offset

Which one?

#2. The leaf springs mean it will have the same wheel requirements as a 99-04 Super Duty truck.

WHAT!?! I was trying to list stuff that everyone else
hasn't already listed for their truck!

Option 1 will cause contact with front leafs when steering and won't work any way.

There are pictures in my profile of 10" wheels with 4.5" backspace on 35x12.50s. A 9" wheel wouldn't stick out as much.
