19,5" rims to 17" on F450 Wrecker

Hi, this is my first post here!

A few months ago we bought a 2000 F450 4x4 wrecker, With 225/70-19,5 tires. Now we are (desperately) looking to find a couple of good M+S rated Winter tires to put on the front axle. This turned out to be incredibly difficult!

As far as I can see, no one makes an M+S rated front axle tire in this size. Which I find amazing, I mean, are thousands of large fords and Dodges drivings around in Winter conditions on summr tires, without wanting REAL Winter ties?

Anyway, haven't found any decent tire yet, I was wondering if I could change to 17" rims in the front, and go for 245/75-17, which should be pretty close diameter as the 19,5's. And, in that size I can find what I Call a good Winter tire, from finnish manufacturer Nokian Tires.

So the question is: Does 17" rims exist, With 8x225 bolt pattern? Or is it possible to have them made? Will they Clear brakes? Any other suggestions on what to do?

I find drive axle tires in 225/70-19,5 but I'm worried that they will not be the best bet in front on the F450.

Any input highly apprecciated!

Thanks
Stefan
