Too big of tire for stock rim....?
I am running 295/75/r16 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO on my factory 16 inch rims. I noticed when I put the tires on they used a lot of tire weights inside and out to balance the tires. I went back to get them balanced again after a few months talked to the technician at discount tire and asked for little weight as possible. Watched them remove all the weights and rebalance the tires and have to add a lot of weights again. Asked to talk to the manager and they explained it to me that those tires are too big for the rims and it is hard to get them balanced. Does that make sense? Are those tires too big for factory rims that they can't balance! What is the biggest tire you have mounted on 16" rims? Thanks.
