Time for tires.

Well I have around 30,000 on my Hankook MT's Have a couple chopping out and the other 2 are thin enough that I just don't want to buy 2 new ones. When I got the truck 4 years ago it had 265/75/16 ats then I put 285/75/16 Hankooks on and lost 2mpg I was thinking of going back to 265 or even 235/85/75 to try to pick my mpg back up. Truck is a 00 4x4 7.3l ext. cab long bed. 4.10 grears. I was making 17-18 then drop to 15mpg with the 285 mt's Hoping that going to 235/85/16 ats I can get back to 18 or better.

Looking at the Cooper A/T3 most my driving is asphalt in the summer but more dirt roads in witter while running trap line and hunting. I think the Hankook mt did good but had to stay on rotations. The at3 I see have 55,000 warranty on them. Looking at the Hankook dynapro a/t but heard they don't get the milage out of them they should be. I thought about the 255/85/16 but not a big selection on that size.

Discount Tire has a good price on the A/T3 shipped so might go that way. Let me know what you guys think.

Well I pulled the trigger on the Copper AT3 in LT235/85/16 $610 to my door isnt bad at all. I stop by Orscheln's today and they wanted $756+tax for the same tire. I have a buddy of mine that works at a shop that I used to work at, so we can mount and balance them there after hours for free
