1st time SD owner

Hi everyone, just picked up an '08 F250 Lariat and need some guidance. Someone prior put on a set of Moto Metal MO951, 17x9 with 33x12.5x17. TPMS sensors were likely omitted causing a DTC which unfortunately wreaks havoc on my reverse sensors. We like the wheels but the tires rub at extreme locks and are noisy as crap. I'm told these originally came with 18s and 20s as an option. At a minimum I need to throw on a set of flares to be legit in MD and also plan to replace the tires and fix the TPMS. Before I proceed I need to know if I must have OE diameter wheels or whether I can keep the wheels, order/install TPMS and tires to suit? 4Wheelparts lists the offset as -12 and backspace as 4.53 if this helps.

You don't have to replace the wheels, a tire shop can put tmps sensors in any wheel. I upgraded my fusions rims and the tire shop just installed new sensors on the wheels, I actually got it for free since they were supposed to do this in the first place and since I had to bring my car in for a second time they installed for free. Might look around though because these senors are not cheap.

Appreciate the info. I have a couple leads on the sensors and a friend who can do the install for nil - just need to choose some new skins and pick up some flares to be MD legit. Thanks again!

Strike me as small for the truck (believe I could go taller with perhaps 11/11.5 equiv wide tire to eliminate the lock rub. Plus they are awfully loud for an AT. Worse. they're load range D when the truck requires E. MD isn't the place to risk that, especially when towing a large boat.

If you wanna get rid of them, I'll take them off your hands. Always looking for a set of tires for the next burnout contest!!!
