XD Strikes on a 2005?

So I have a 2005 F250 and am really liking the 18x10 XD strikes. I was hoping to run them with 35x12.50 toyo mt's since I don't have a leveling kit or lift at this time. The lady I was talking to about the rims was trying to hint towards the fact that they wouldn't fit without and 4" lift or better. I know they are -24 offset but will they really be that tight with 33's? I am looking for a little wider stance and thought these might be good but now I'm a little concerned. Any input from the hive?
