17" Dually inners 8x170???
project truck, 97 F250, doing full superduty axle suspension swap. heres what i have so far
rear axle: '04 Dually D80 4.10, factory 16"s 8x170 front axle: '05 single wheel D60 4.10 8x170, min 17" whe For my front axle i wanted to swap to coil suspension (05 or newer) so thats why i got a single wheel so i could still have 8x170 pattern but got one with 4:10 to match rear gear. 05 newer dually set up went to 8x200 pattern so now im trying to figure out my wheel set up. i wanted to run single wheel on front with matching dual outters on the rear. I have to run 17s via my front 05 axle 17" outters on rear is no problem but i cant find a 17" inner steel for my rear! anyone seen these or know where to find them???? worse case I guess ill have to run 16" inners but i really dont want to buy 3 differnt sized tires for one truck.. getting revs per mile to match will be a real task... thanks! |

I can't find em either and I refuse to run a 16 next to a 17, I've heard it works but shreds up tires fast! I contemplated running 16 duals and 17 front but there again matching tires for the 4x4 and I just don't know if it will look good, I'm now thinking about scrapping the dual rear end all together and switching to single f/r w 3:73s..
Let's get some opinions, I though about running 16" stock 5 star rims with the 5 star factory 17" alumi that came on some 05-07s, worried about it looking like a dirt bike...but OBS with factory 8x170 99-up rims is my goal! |
