Toyo AT2 vs Michelin LTX AT2

New here so i thought I'd start out with a real world comparison. My buddy and I put these two tires head to head with interesting results. First a little back ground, trucks used were 2005&2006 F-350 crews 6.0. Hwy, off road, ice and snow tested. Same tire size, stock trucks same weight and gearing. On the hwy the LTX was sure footed, minimum roll, instilled confidence in icy conditions but I felt I was steering more than I should be, tracking was a minor complaint. The AT2 was simular but tracked better and felt softer, it cushioned the small road imperfectiones so in turn having less feel. Off road the AT2 hands down dominated the LTX. Climbing a snow covered dirt hill in 2 and 4 wheel, the LTX could not keep up. Half way up in 2 wheel I was forced to engage 4 wheel to reach the top where the AT2 climbed slowly and surely to the top in 2 wheel. The AT2 lugs cleaned much better when in the dirt and mud making light work of the trail in 4 wheel. LTX got through but with alot more aggravation, much more sliding around and worry. Way better siping on the AT2 where I don't see any on the LTX. LTX better economy by about 2 mpg. AT2 way better warrenty. AT2 cheaper to purchase, tire life yet to be determined. Come spring we will se how they tow and perform with our heavy 5'rs . Can't wait to throw the BFG's and DuraTracs into the mix to find IMHO the best all round on/off road seasonal E load truck tire. Love to here from some other's real world experiences!

Thank you for taking the time to conduct the review. I have LTXs on my truck now and while the tire is fine on road, they are terrible off road in my view. The DuraTracs and BFGOODRICH AT KOs along with the Goodyear MTRS are what I'm considering for replacements. I look forward to following this thread.
