Lug nut help, stock aluminum to pro comp steel wheels

Hey guys,

got my new wheels this weekend but the lug nuts they gave me have the fine thread instead of the course like my late 99 truck has. I put my steel wheels on with the washer style lug nuts for now until I can get new ones. I went to a few places and no one had 32 acorn lug nuts. the truck seems to but riding fine with the wheels on it know, but i do have to drive to 160 miles tomorrow to new Hampshire. anyone have or heard of horror story's of running washer lugs on steel wheels? it seems fine right now but I don't want a disaster.
thanks
Will

I know I wouldn't be doing it man! Seems like a disaster just waiting to happen!
Put your old wheels back on till you get the right lug nuts.

Haven't heard any horror stories but it looks like you are volunteering to be the first...
