Rebuilding or repairing my hydroboost questions

I did a hydroboost conversion on my 95 F350 some time back. Some time back I shut the truck down for some major mods. I planned to do the same thing to my Wife’s F250. Being since I have her truck shut down right now for some minor repairs I figured I would go ahead and do the conversion now. I pulled the hydroboost off my F350 and tried to cycle the piston inside. All it did was shoot fluid in my face and stick in place. I could not get it to cycle back and the fluid looked like it was mixed with water. I had very little use on the hydroboost be3fore I parked the truck. SO I am guessing it went bad while sitting. Has anyone here rebuilt one of these? Does the problem I just described sound repairable?
