Inflating Spare Tire?
This may be a dumb question, but here goes anyway...
When you air up the spare (not on the truck), it obviously doesn't have a load on it, so would the inflation pressure be the same? It seems to me that the pressure would be different when it's off the truck vs installed and holding all that weight. I'd hate to have to pull a good wheel/tire off, install the spare, inflate, and then swap them back out, but I want to make sure I have the correct pressure before my road trip. I don't plan on having onboard air or access to air where I'm gonna be (way up in the Rockies). |
