Mpg/power increase from 37" to a 35" tire?
Hey guys,
I just had a interstate blow out on my toyo 37" MT yesterday morning.. Im trying to decide what tire size get. My tread is already around 50% and didnt plan on getting new tires any time soon. But since this has happened i was wondering if i could bump my mpg and power up by dropping down from 37x13.50.20 to a 35x12.50x20 toyo mt? Im getting right at 12.8 mpg with my current setup in my sig... Figure i could sell the remaing 3 tires on craigslist for some extra coin to help battle the cost of new tires.. Any input would be great. Ill put a picture up later of my tire, the belts seperated and caused a major deformation of the tire.. It was like some glued a watermelon to the side of my tire. It grew lumps all over the tire. |

You will feel a power gain and 1.5 ish more mpg. thats what I lost going from 35's to 37's toyo's. But 35's will look small with a 6" and you will go back to 37's real soon. Just get another 37 and save the headache and money lost going to 35's and back to 37's

I thought so, i just found a pratically brand new 37" toyo set thru a buddy that couldnt fit them on his dodge ram.. He wants 1300 for all 4 so i may just snag those and sell 2 of my front tires and keep one tire as a back up.
I do love the way that these 37's look on truck. Thx!! |
