ABS Light on for Turns ONLY
I had a wobble when appling brakes .. took it in to have the brakes looked at. Was told it was the back brakes caused I towed. Replaced the rotor and shoes. Test drive it still did exactly the same things. Resurfaced the front rotors and same shoes.. no shake now. on way home at 47 MPH is wobble but with no brakes... 45 nothing.. at 50 nothing. Ask owner to drive.. He said I was anal.. trucks have bounces. When got home ABS was on constant. Took it back next AM.. right front sensor was bad they said.. I didn't have them touch it.. because the cable behind the tire was push in more and no more ABS light.. it was lose before I got there and owner didn't mention it was loose.
Wheels straight no ABS light now... wheels turned far left or right the light comes on and as soon as tires straighten up in the first 90% of turn ratio the light goes off immediately.
I knew the main machanic at this place thats why I took it to them he did the back brake changes but the kid jocking cars is the one that took my fronts off and did the grinding with the owner. the kid didn't seem to like the boss of this place either. Could he change the alignment of the front wheels to make the sensors fail on the turns because the wheel shifts away from the sensor via an angle of sorts? What can the kid have done to mess it up.. never had anything before like this and seems like it is related to the work. the brake fluid in the master cylinder was alittle low 1" down but not empty.. I have filled that up. Pedal seems good but if I pump it then it gets a bit soft. On the turns the sensors cables seem to be at their length end.. not much play in them.
Anything to check?
