My Rim Broke!!!! WTF

As the title states. Thank god I found it doing a walk around before I hit the road and not while towing 15,000 pounds at 70 mph. The most I ever went over the GVW on the rear was 40lbs. Didn't hit anything and the tire was only 3psi over the recommended 80psi. It was the passenger side rear. Must of been all the tq from my little 6.0. Lol.

All joking a side, myself or someone else could have been seriously hurt by this. Any one else have this problem? I searched and found nothing about a recall.

Good thing you caught it. Never hurts to do a "pre-trip", even on a non-CDL vehicle.

There have been a few threads on here recently with very similar photos. All seem to be the OEM 20" wheels, and all show a very similar rim split.

Yup it's the oem 20's cracking in the same area just like yours. I can't believe there hasn't been a recall or some kind of warranty.

I wonder how long it was like that. Hell, it could of happened over night just parked out front for all I know. I was working on the rig the day before and the door to the trailer is literally like... right there. Something I would like to think I would have noticed just walking by as that's how I found it the next day doing a basic "pre trip" walk around.
