Tire size question
Hey guys, new here so this may have been answered already. I searched and read multiple different things. I have an 00 F250 4WD. So the question is whats the largest tire size you can run? This is on stock wheels. The reason I ask is because according to what I read mine shouldnt have what it has. I just bought the truck and trying to figure out what all is already done to it. Got it from a shop, that didnt bother to ask previous owner anything.
Thanks. |

Welcome to the Addiction!
Well your truck most likely has the "biggest" tires that will fit. That is not necessarily a bad thing. The issue running larger tires brings is poor longevity of the tire tread. You can run up to 295's and be ok but if you go larger on a stock wheel you will get into improper geometry range and the tires won't sit flat across the face and will wear out very quickly. Unless you are independently wealthy ans I suppose you are not run them till you need new ones and then either get bigger wheels to accommodate the larger tires or get smaller tires that will wear properly. Just my $.02 |

I just picked it up today, and the shop I got it from put 315x75x16's on it. Looks good, but didnt know if the truck could handle those fitting stock.
