stock 20" different centercap depth?

I bought some stock 8 spoke aluminum 20" wheels off ebay. They came with the plastic ford caps with the open holes in the front. The caps in general as most of you know are pretty massive anyway. They stick pretty far out. I have noticed on some trucks they look different. On a few I've seen, the fronts dont seem to stick out as far. I drove by one in the parking lot the other day and it seems on the front the actual hub is closer to the cap edge if that makes sense. On mine, its sunk quite a ways in (like on the front of a dually except not as far). Did the 350s and 250s have different caps for the front? Now that Ive noticed I've been trying to track down trucks with these wheels. I dont know if maybe the actual hubs were longer on some trucks, or just the cap was slightly different. Either way the cap that seems to be more flush with the hub looks way better than mine. Im trying to find out what I need to do to get a set.

quick question. are they 08-10 rims? and what year is the truck?

yes there are different styles mine for instance are close to the hub

I think they gave you caps off of a 6.7 truck. Mine look like the ones pictured above

the 6.0's and a lot of other 6.4's have a different style

yep..dammit I want the style that are close to the hub.(like those pictured above). The seller said they were on a 09 fx4 lariat. My truck is an 06. Anyone know for sure what year these came on or part number etc? I think the backs may all be the same or very close, or close enough for me not to notice. I wouldnt even bother with the back set unless they were not as thick. I hate the way they stick out so far.

the rears are different also. I've had two sets of 08 8 bars and all of the caps were the short ones. The 12 wheels I had had the tall caps.

interesting, here's' an 09 Lariat on ebay. assuming they're the factory caps, they're the tall ones. Looks like 08 caps are the ones you want

well shat, I need a part number or at least the measurements off the shorter ones in case I find some on ebay or something. I can tell already from browsing ebay, finding the right ones are gonna be a PITA. Seems there are many variations of that centercap. Here are mine, the shorter ones look much better (to me).
