Spare Tire Cover
I'm replacing my spare with a proper size spare, going to get a 35, so that it will work with my tires, because its useless in its stock size. Since the 35 will not fit under the truck in the normal spare spot, I want to keep it in the bed but also want to keep it in good condition. Does anyone know where to get a cover for a 35" tire?
I looked at the ones they make for jeeps, but I'm pretty sure the backs are open on those, I need something that fully seals it. It doesn't have to be stylish, just durable. Thanks. James. |

my buddy had one made for his ranger from a local upholstery shop... they took the measurements and such and had it for him in a couple days... his is a camo pattern courdura nylon and has maybe a 6"-8" hole for him to mount the tire to his headache rack (he welded one up looks like the baja trucks) and has a zipper about 2/3's the circumfrence of the tire. i think the cover cost like 50 bucks or so... thats something you might look into...

A buddy is a sheet metal worker and he made a real nice looking one out of SS that is almost water tight.

I saw some SS ones online, they were $250-$300, thats a bit out of my ball park. Thanks for the ideas guys.
