What offset...99 F250, 4" w/ 35x12.50

I am thinking of going to a 4" lift and 35x12.50 with 18x9 rims and was wondering what offset or backspace would work to make them not stick out too far.

somewhere between 0 and -12 would be ideal.

I'm pretty sure you want to do a 4.5" backspace with your set up so it won't hit the leaf springs.

Correct. 4.5" backspacing on a 9" wide wheel is -12 offset. That would stick the wheels outside the fender a bit, though. 0 offset would tuck them in more but would have the tires rubbing the springs at full lock.
