35 12.50???

I am in the market for some new wheels and I have 35 12.50 20's on it now and the tires are pretty new so I don't want to replace them. The wheels I am wanting are 8.5" wide. Can I put the 12.5" tires on these wheels? Thanks in advance for the help

The tires will fit, but a wider wheel would be better for handling and wear. I'd want a minimum of a 9.5" wheel to run that rubber, but there are guys running that size on stock wheels. My point-if you are buying wheels anyway, get the right ones. If you already have the wheels, you can make it work, but it is less than ideal!
