TPMS Valve sensors on 2008 or 2009?

This is a question I'm sure many others have wondered. How many people have successfully used the new valve sensors on one of the vehicles previously supplied with band sensors? If so, what year vehicle and who's sensors did you use?

I have heard that Discount Tire has put valve sensors on a previously banded vehicle, not sure how well they have worked or if they still work. But though this would be good for everyone wanting to know.
