Buying discontinued wheels...Thoughts
I have been looking at buying a set of Moto Metal 955 wheels in the black and machined aluminum finish. Found out today that those have been discontinued. I can still get them as there are still lots out there, but I am not sure about buying wheels that have been discontinued. What do you guys and gals think? I guess the only problem would be if something ever happened to one of them I may not be able to get a replacement, which could mean buying a whole new set of wheels. I don't know, I really like those. What say you?

You could buy 5 and have one as back up.

Personally, I wouldn't but to each their own. I would agree that if you are serious about getting them that you would need to get 5.

If you like the wheels, get them. Who cares if they are discontinued.

Thanks, guys. Think I'm gonna go ahead and get them. They are the ones I really like, anyway.

I would. I've had many, many aftermarket wheels since i could drive and never had to replace one.

yea thats wat i think how often do u replace one wheel....if something happens, which is very rare, u can get a new set...but if u like them just go for it....

Id say go for it. Maybe get 5 cause if you do break one and happen to find a replacement it is gonna cost you.

In neither case did we identify the casting flaws until about a year or so later. I just don't want you to have the same experience. |
