Plasti-Dip'd Wheels (How to)
Well guys Ive been wanting to do this for awhile and finally decided to plasti-dip my Diamo chrome 20's. I looked around on the web to see other super-duties and only came across one so I decided to snap a few pics while I was doing it today. In all I used about 3 full cans of plasti-dip but I recommend buying at least for if you want more coats and 1 can of clear enamel. I also painted my coils silver to match the two-tone. As of now it is an experiment to see how it holds up throughout the winter and how well the plasti-dip will protect the wheels because I can peel it off whenever
 -The process is real simple, first I just cleaned up my wheels with some simple green and started spraying. -Second, I used some note cards to eliminate the over-spray. -Third, I applied 3 coats of plasti-dip as most people say the heavier the coats the easier you can peel it off when/if you want to. (Done) -After the third coat I put on 2 coats of clear enamel (optional) and I dont think it turned out too bad for less than $60.      I'll get some better pics in the daylight tomorrow.

same exact way i did mine.... its been about 3 months now give or take and they are holding strong

If u do this will it cause damage to the chrome? I wud love 20" rims to be black but I can't buy new ones and this seems like a worthy try!

I still have the factory chrome wheels and would love to do this! Like the other guy I am wondering if there is a possibility for damage to the chrome just in case I want to remove it one day.
Thoughts?
