Stock wheel question
I have a question about stock wheels for say a 2000 to 2007. If you have the 16" steelies you get black plastic hub caps to cover the lugs and hubs. The fancy wheels get chrome covers. My question is this...
How do they stay on? ![]() I want to create the "rat rod" look on my truck. Black truck with red wheels and chrome center caps and trim rings. Nobody sells old school looking steelies for the 170 lug patern, but the black "Rock Crawlers" from Pro-Comp are kinda close. I got one, it fits. A 16" trim ring off a cop car fits. I want the factory Ford hub cap. I am thinking they clip on to the wheel or hopefully the lugnuts themselves. If there is anyone out there with knowlage of the factory wheels can help me I really want to find a way to put these on my truck... Of course then I have to find some, no luck so far on that. I keep seeing these trucks drive by, but the only people I know with Ford trucks don't have stock wheeles. Please help... Thanks. |

I don't really know what you're talking about. But the stock hub/lug covers lock to the lugs themselves

Thanks... That's what I was hoping. I don't suppose there is anything special about the stock lug nuts?
