TPSM question
Ok I dont really know how they work or anything. A buddy of mine is looking at buying some 33x12.50 mud grapplers and 20" xd hoss' for his 08 f250. Hes going to buy them off ebay where they are already mounted and balanced. If he just throws them on like he gets them what will happen, and what the solution to whatever it will do to the truck?? Thanks guys

if the sensors are not installed on the wheels you will definatly get a low tire/tpms light wont cause any driveability issues just annoying. I have yet to find any way to disable it.

How about beeping? I think he could live with a dash light but beeping would drive me insane lol

There shouldn't be a beeping, just a light.
You can take them to your local wheel/tire shop and have them swap the sensors into your new wheels if you want the light to go out. We do it all the time for people. Ford uses 'band' type sensors. You will need to buy a new band for each sensor and wheel because they are rarely reusable the way they are crimped from the factory. |

Nope, just a red tire symbol and the message center display TPMS issue, the later can be cleared by pressing reset. Beeping hasn't been implemented at this time by Ford, but who knows, maybe the next flash.
![]() It's a shame we can't use the new Valve sensors with the 08 trucks. |
