Brake fluid.....amount used during flush?
Hi Yall! I'm a newb around these parts, finally just bought a 02' F250 SuperCrew 4x4 217,XXX miles and I love it! Did not find quite the info i was looking for in the "search" so sorry if by chance this is a repost and maybe info will help another. On to my question,
My friend and I are doing complete brake job and brake fluid flush tomorrow and I was wondering about home much brake fluid have you been going through when you flush and fill? The bottles come in 12oz ans 32oz and just try'n to make sure I have enough on hand for when we get started ya know. I know I need DOT 3 and it should be labled "heavy duty" right? Thanks for any info! pwrov1 Independence, MO |

I would get a few 32 oz bottles. Reason being is you are wanting to flush all the brake lines out plus the calipers plus the master cylinder. YOu have to flush out all the old fluid. Which means you don't stop til you have clean fresh fluid at all the calipers coming out of the bleeder valve.
