ABS warning light and trailer brakes quit working
Got a phone call from my kid with a new problem on his 06 F-350. While towing the trailer to Oregon the ABS light came on and the trailer brake control quit applying the trailer brakes. He can manually apply the trailer brakes utilizing the slide bar but otherwise they do not work. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

ABS light is normally always a sensor, why it's causing the trailer brake malfunction is beyond me. There are three ABS sensors, you'll need to find someone with a good scan tool like an Autoenginuity to read the code and determine what is causing the light(Autozone, pepboys, or any of these type places CAN'T do it.) ABS systems run a diagnostic every so many minutes, so as long as the light is on something is wrong. There is a senor on the front two hubs and one on the rear diff.
