06 F250-new tires-which ones??
Going to need new tires by summer....
I have been looking at the Yokohama Geolander ATS's in 265/70/17 LR-E. This is what I have on the truck now and I like them just fine. The price seems right, too.
I got to looking and also seen the General Grabber A/T 2. These have similar reviews and would suit me in mud around the farm a little better. The reviews on tirerack from about 2009 to current have been good, but the years prior to 2009, the reviews were terrible-claiming 25k tire life, etc. Has anybody ran these? What are your thoughts?
I'm not close-minded to any tire, so what are you running and do you like it? My driving consists of 50% on road, 25% gravel, 25% mud/horse pasture/fields. I live in Ohio so snow traction is a must. I also tow a GN LQ 3 horse trailer, loaded weighing about 12k and a smaller 3 Horse GN trailer weighing about 7k loaded.
I'm looking for longevity, traction and value-in that order.
Also, I am interested in stepping up a size to a 285, but I can't find them in LR-E. Thoughts?
