Don't undertstand...

Went to 2 goodyear dealers today and asked what I can get in a 285/65/18......Well you would of thought I asked for 56" Monster mudders from Bigfoot and I wanted them to mount them on my F350 18" rims...lolol...Both places said "WOW" are you sure you can fit those ..........Than I asked the 2nd place what size do you have the duratrac in?..He said you don't want those,they are strictly a mud tire much to agessive and way to noisey............Than he said well I can get you a 295/65/18 duratrac but its gonna cost ya..First he had to go to a book because he said he could not access those on the computer..Said they would run 360.00 a piece plus 25.00 each for mount and balance..WoW....I just don't understand when you go to a place that all they do is tires,have no idea.....I had to tell them about the duratrac,it was almost like they didn't want to sell me any tires.....I did not buy anything yet and was just really looking at my local options.But it doesn't look real promising...

Thats dumb. If it were me, i wouldnt use either of those dealers!

My tire people know everything there is to know, what i can and cant fit, hell............they knew what backspacking and offset i needed to get the look i want before i even did!

I even got the tire guys here to mount a car tire on my motorcycle for me!

Got this from the Goodyear website:

I understand the size thing, but not the 'duh' approach to selling tires. That just seems like bad customer service. Do they wanna sell tires or what?

Yeah they are confused of something, the duratracs arent noisey at all for 1 and 2 I just got 35" duratracs for $299 a tires including mounting and lifetime rotation and balance

I got my 275/70r18 Duratracs for $968 out the door.

I totally agree with everything you guys are saying.What got me was that both places the person helping me almost fell over when I asked for a 285/65/18...Honestly I would never buy anything from these places..As far as pricing everything in NJ is like triple everything else in the states.Its like their mothers brother-inlaws uncle has to make something off the deal too,,....
