2005 f350 brake mileage
My 2005 f350 4x4 srw front brake started grinding, 30,000 miles on truck. Dealer says front rotors need replacing and only 3mm on rear pads. He said it's a big truck and you shouldn't except more than 30k on the brakes. My last truck doge 2500 diesel went more than 60k before brakes. I know I drove more higheway with the doge but 30k seems a little short on life. Could there be another problem that is covered under my warranty.

There's a lot that can vary the life of brakes. How hard you are on the brakes? Do you haul a lot of weight? If you have a trailer how good are the brakes on it? How much stop and go traffic do you run in? My mom used to go through a set of front pads every 12 months (12000 to 14000 miles) on her van before I yelled at her for waiting to the absolute last second and standing on the brakes for everything they are worth.
