Are these 20x12 Welds worth it?
Well I found a guy that I can pick up a set of 20x12 weld dakars that have been powdercoated black. He is asking 1600. Does that sound reasonable if they are in decent shape?
I like the blacked out look so thats not a problem. I guess the other question is if the powdercoat is starting to go would it be possible to get them blasted and then re-powdercoated? Would it do any harm to the wheel? Thanks guys. |

That seams a little high , but things are only worth what someone is willing to pay. I think they bake the powder coating off , and then recoat them, not 100% sure about that though. I don`t your going to hurt those wheels. I have a set of weld dune 8" in polish finish and I bought them off ebay about 3 yrs ago with some tires that had about 45% tread left on them shipped to my house for $1200. If you really love them and your willing to pay then it`s a good deal for you. I would offer him less and see what he does? Weld made so great wheels!! I miss them!! Centerline makes some nice 12" wide wheels also!!

That sounds a little high only because there powder coated. If they still had a nice polish i would say definitely worth it. Either way awesome wheels.

Thanks guys for the input on the price. With that in mind the more I think about it the more I think I am going to pass. I actually like the centerline styles more than the dakar style for a tougher look. The Dakar looks more elegant. Thanks again guys.
