Winter tire ?'s
I'm looking to buy my first set of winter tire's. Wanted to know what the best ones are and if you liked them, how they handled and wore?

I had BFG All Terrains on my '01 F250 I had 285-75/16 on it the load range D's are deep snow rated ( what ever that means) I think they have over a 1/2" tread depth. I had 65K miles and was still planning on driving them thru this winter but ended selling the truck.

I just bought a set of Goodyear Duratracs and have finally got to test them out in snow. WOW! They dig in and plow right through it. Plus they handle slick roads quite nicely. THey are mud and snow rated and I would definately recommend them. I've only got a couple thousand miles on them so far, but they seem to be wearing great and are very quiet for an aggressive allterrain tire. The BFG AT/KO's are pretty good too in the white stuff. Above all remember to stay away from mud tires if you want a good all around winter tire. The more siping there is on the tire, the better. Plus, you can look for a tire that's mud and snow rated. Hope this helps.
