need help picking new rims and tires

i bought a 2004 f250 ext. cab short bed about a month ago and needed some advice on rims and tires. the truck is dark red with a tan bottom. if anyone on the forum has a truck with this color combination and custom wheels please share your pics. i know i want 18 inch rims with the biggest tires i can fit without rubbing the leafs. what backspacing and offset wheel will i need? also if you have a stock height truck with big tires on it please share some pictures so i can get an idea of what it will look like. thanx alot

My truck is leveled and I have 285/75r16 and I am sure I could fit a 35 under it with little to no rub. As far as wheels I have been looking at xd's and dick cepeck heard great things about both.

personally i love Eagles..they will be my next wheels. Centerline has a big sale right now, and they are forged and made in USA, problem being, they seem to have bad quality control. I have an 07 with a 2.5 inch leveling kit and f350 block in the rear with 285/75/18 (35s)..ill try and get a pic up

I dont have a side shot sorry..best I have..my next tires will be way wider, the factory wheels make these tuck too much also

i was almost positie a 285/75/16 was a 33inch tire? i could be wrong but thats what i thought. i have seen f250s out there with 315/75/16s on them at stock height. i would like to get 285's just because i hate when tires rub. i had 325/60/18 on mkw wheels on my old 2002 f250 gasser and they rubbed hard between the combination of the wrong offset wheel and wide tires. it drove me crazy. i saw an ebay seller who advertised ballistic rims with 285/75/16 federal mt's for about $1300 and thought it was a good deal. anybody know anything about those tires? i will try and post a link to the ebay listing. thanks alot

Yeah the procomps are actually 33.1 but I am pretty sure I could fit a 35 under my rig no problem. I have been warned going any wider then 285 on stock wheel is dangerous so looking at new wheels next time I buy shoes.
