I just acquired a 2005 EB Excursion (4wd) (6.0). Stock suspension. It has stock 16" wheels and LT265/75R16 tires. I do not want nor can add a lift kit as it has to fit in in our garage and get into parking garages. But I do want to put as large a tire as I can on it and I want to change the wheels to give it a wider stance. I searched this site and have not found what would work. If I could get some good direction I would appreciated it.

285x75R16 if you stay with the 16 inch rim. Or you can go with 305x70R16 both sizes will fit with no lift and no rubbing.
Stock rim size is 16x8. So if you want to go wider then a 11.50 tire. You should replace the rims with a 16x10 that is if you want to keep the 16 inch rim. |

Thank you! I do not mind option of changing rims if it makes the stance a little wider. I just can not increase overall height of vehicle so much it won't fit in garage. So if I go with 16 x 10, my max tire size could be? Do I have to be concerned about wheel offsets when ordering these new wheels and tires? Based on my parameters what would you order besides a larger garage?
And this would also work with my 2002 F250 and my 2002 Excursion? |
