35" tire questions
I am looking at getting 35s but have a few questions, will a 35 fit under the truck in the spare tire location, and if it does fit will the lowering cable be long enough to lower the tire to the ground? Is the stock jack long enough or do I need to carry a block or a different jack to jack the truck up if I have a flat? I suppose I could go crawl around my truck to figure these things out but it is raining right now. Any input would be appreciated!

I used the spare tire winch on my '01 when I had 35s on it and it worked just fine. I don't have a 35" spare on my '08 yet, so I don't know for sure it would fit but can't imagine it not fitting.
As far as the jack, I always carry a 12"' piece of 2X10 with me for two reasons. 1) to raise the jack a little 2) Murphy's law says it will be raining and muddy when I have a flat Mark |
