need spare tire

I recently purchased a 2008 F250. It did not have a spare tire. I thought I could pick one up at a local salvage shop but I cant seem to find one. The bolt pattern was change on the 250 in 2007 I was told and I cant seem to find one anywhere. I would be ok with just a plain rim that I can have a tire put on locally, but I really dont like driving without a spare. The local dealer wants 450 for a spare tire and I am hoping to get one for less. The tires on the truck now are 17 inches. Any help would be appreciated

Ford went to the 8-170 PCD (bolt pattern) in 1999 and it hasn't changed since.
