Size Help

I need some advice before i purchase some tires. My truck is a 2005 250, reg cab fx4. It has the 17x7.5 alum wheels. I Have ordered my 2.5 inch leveling kit along with studs and egr delete and sct. I am looking to keep the stock wheels on the truck and get the biggest tire i can without any issues. I have heard mixed opinions on a 315/70/17 on a 7.5 rim. So should i go 305/70/17? or does everyone think i will be ok with the 315?

Thanks for all the help in advance.
