New tires & wheels TONIGHT!!!

Discount delivered (UPS) my new tires/wheels to my mechanic buddy yesterday! Going to install tonight!!!

Going to have a little fun first though. Since my existing tires have 41,000 miles on them and are severly worn - well - I'll have some video's tomorrow.

Need to roast what's left.

Will take pictures of existing tires (LT305/70R16 wrapping stock 16x7 Lariat) with new next to them (LT295/70R18 wrapping new 18x9 DC2) and then the new installed.

I'm happy with them! No rub at full lock - tires are 1" from leafs at full lock. Ride great. They are a good 3+" taller then the previous 305/70R16's that I had on there! I was a bit shocked. They fit well though. Pulled back the inner fender wells on front and cut off some of the air dam - but that is it.

whats the difference between the DC1s and the new DC2s?

For one - DC1's are no longer made. I wanted DC1's but I couldnt get them through Discount Tire Direct.

DC1's had chromed center caps and a slightly different layout between black and polished. the DC1's also had fake bolt heads at each polished edge by tire.

DC2's have black plastic center caps and did away with the fake bolt heads.

Since I was installing new tires - had to make a lasting statement - something that would be around for awhile....
