Load Range D on Excursion?

I have an opportunity to get 4 BFG All-Terrain KO's in LT265/75R-16 Load Range D's for my '02 Excursion (stock suspension). They are marked for
3042 pounds at 65psi (120/116S). The load Range E's are good for 3475 pounds at 80 psi (123/120S).

I do tow an Airstream (tounge weight about 1000 lb) and use a WD hitch.

What do you think? Are the LR D's adequate? You think the right would be better on the LR D's than on the E's?

Thaks, Dw
