new truck want new tires
Okay guys, I just got my truck and the guy that had it before me put on some bicycle tires so I am looking at ditching these and putting on some rims and tires. I like aftermarker chrome rims and wanted to know about how big of a rim can I got without lifting my truck. I want to put some decent size tires as go to the country and get in a little mud time to time but don't want a bunch of road noise either. I am thinking a/t will be fine but want that agressive look not that aggressive sound. I don't want to lift my truck. Any sugestions?
sorry it is a 99 f250 Supercab longbed 4x4. factory stance. |

I run the Dura Grapplers from Nitto, and love them, but its mostly a street queen until hunting season, even then, I have ZERO complaints about this tire. A lot of people are running Terra Grapplers from Nitto, and really enjoying them, quiet, yet aggressive enough for moderate offoading

thanks, but do you know what size would be the biggest I could go before lifting the truck.

I don't know about that year. It would also depend on the backspacing of the wheels you choose

I have run Terra Grapplers for over 2 years now. They have been pretty good tires and aren't loud on the street at all. They aren't worth crap in the mud though. I don't think any AT is going to be worth a crap in mud. You need to decide what tradeoffs you are willing to make and what is important to you and go from there.
