Help choosing offset\backspacing
I have an 08 f-250 superduty deisel 4x4 looking for some different rims was looking at either 20x8.5s or 20x9s wanting to run stock size bfg ats on them for a while but for my next set of tires go up to the 35 12.50 20s on the same rim with a 2.5" leveling kit. Just wondering if u guys could give me any offset or backspacing recomendations that should be fine for what i want to do thanks.

The 08 18" Lariat wheels are 8" wide with a +45mm offset (6.25" B/S). Lower offset or BS will result in the tire sticking out more. So, if you go with a wider wheel, just consider the difference and you'll know where the tire will be in relation to the fender.
For example, say you get a 9" wheel with a +25mm offset. The wheel is an inch wider, and you gain nearly an inch in offset (25.4mm = 1 inch), so your tires would be about 2" farther out than stock. Hope this helps. Mark |
