Are Spacers needed?

So got my fender flares at a body shop getting painted. There bushwacker pocket style. So i plan on ordering now new wheels with my tax rebate and currently got 285-75-16 stock and was going to order xd diesel 18inch with 295-70-18 terra grapplers and was wondering if i need wheel spacers to make it look better and was wondering who makes them and they gotta be good for towing good loads. Heard fred goeske makes good. So i'm wondering if wheel spacers are need or can you get the wheels to offset enuff to make it look good and not funny.
