Got a little shook up at work today...

Brought an early 99 dually into work today with a tire loosing air slowly. Got his aluminum five star wheel off and in the dunk tank, its leaking from the rim, between two of the spokes. I pull it out and look at it from the back, and there is a 1 1/4 inch crack starting from the between the spokes heading to the back of the rim, then taking a turn THAT WAS 7 INCHES LONG behind the spokes following the circumference of the rim. Wasn't leaking from the big part of the crack, but the big part had an 1/8 inch gap for most of the 7 inches.

I wanted nothing more than to be as FAR as possible from that wheel as fast as possible. Gave me a scare I tell you, I would have snapped a pic but didn't have my camera. Id check your wheels if you have 'em.

He was pretty amazed. Hes bringing it back tomorrow to have them switched. I don't really want to go near it ya know? It totally sounds like a bad story beginning. "So there was Craig like 'Look at this crack!' and BOOM! Blew his face clean off"

That would not have been a good story at all.
